I wanted to show gratitude for the gift of friendship in the form of a luncheon for quite sometime (I intended to have a 'palomas on the patio party' but vacations & Summer heat got in the way). While aligning calendars has it's challenges I made it a priority to reach out and set a date. I decided to keep my 'Seashells' theme despite it being November ... skirt the rules and do what you like!
i found these vintage invitations over a year ago and was thrilled to send them out! while this luncheon is traditional and very mid century in style, you can easily do the same with a virtual message. the most important thing is that you gather.
Gathering cultivates so many things ...
HOSPITALITY

open your door and welcome your guests with a smile. our homes are gifts to be used and shared. fill the rooms with conversation and laughter.
generosity
lunch is a lighter, easier meal to prepare and serve. i chose this soup & salad. sandwiches and casseroles are great too. you could even do breakfast foods. Your guests will be nurished with goodness no matter what you feed them.
COMMUNITY

the occasion called for dessert! I made this healthier lemon bundt cake - the pan itself made it look fancy.
We are all worthy and blessed to have friends. Gathering together fosters connection.
GRATITUDE

Use what you have whether it's the nice pieces that rarely get used or paper products for ease. It's not about the presentation but appreciation for each other and the time spent.
PURPOSE

On the love language scale I'm at zero for gift giving; however I do have an appreciation for handmade and sentimental things. I want to share my talents and treasures so I made necklaces from my collection of seashells and gifted them journals with their initials and a handwritten note inside. These both have a personal touch and speak to our freindship.
We are all busier than ever but it's essential that we take time to connect, face to face and share ideas, encouragement and laughter!

I encourage you to open your home to gather and cultivate
hospitality, generosity, community, gratitude and purpose.
