Breakfast Room

Decorating our home is ongoing. We moved in 7 years ago this month and I've been adding beauty to its rooms ever since.

As eager as I am for each space to be 'done' I honestly like that it's evolved over time as we've lived here. The decisions are intentional and fit how we live.

Vivian started 2nd grade last Monday and as I stood in the kitchen looking into our breakfast room the desire to add. color to the white walls turned into an idea that I had to bring to fruition.

I originally wanted to wallpaper & had this one picked out but I've hesitated with this space as we have big plans to completely renovate our kitchen, including this breakfast room.

I also picked up these dining chairs off of marketplace that I had saved.

The bench drove me nuts as it was difficult to clean, bulky and cumbersome to slide into.

BEFORE

I grabbed a few swatches of colors that afternoon brought them home and in less than 30 seconds I knew this light aqua blue 'It is Well' was the color!

The next day I purchased the color at 50% (I recommend this for almost all paint colors!)

By that evening it was complete!

Tip: I paint switch & outlet plates to match the walls.

I ordered this lemon canvas art and decided to focus on the adjacent wall.

I'm truly pleased on how beautiful and complimentary this room has become to our home!
