Personally, I prefer my winter whites in my wardrobe over outside. I'm born and raised in the South and while snow is beautiful it's foreign & challenging for us.
A monochromatic white outfit is clean, crisp and just pretty. The key is to mix textures/fabrics and shades of white.
Off white or ivory paired with bright white creates dimension.
For fabrics mix heavier weights knits, tweed and denim with crisp cottons and silks.
As for shoes, handbags and even coats keep them cohesive in a nude/light tan. Gold jewelry also compliments with warm shine.
