Here are some ways I add style ...
Belts, they add shape, definition and texture. Don't be shy with color or prints. They are by far my favorite accessory.
Tip: I find the best belts at resale/thrift shops!
A light layer like a sweater adds warmth, texture and is better in a color.
Add a top/blouse over your dress, just make sure the hem hits at the natural waist, just below your ribs.
Scarves are a timeless ladylike piece that create an elegant look while also adding pattern and color.
