No Grit No Pearl

My dear friend gifted me a tea towel with this phrase embroidered on it. My response was ‘This is Me to a T!!!’. She said, it sure is.

Here’s why: I have grit! A lot of grit! I am a part of a long line of women who are strong, determined and faithful.

As for pearls, to me they are so very beautiful and I have worn them my entire adult life.

An oyster turns an unwanted irritant into a beautiful pearl of high value.

Fo us, our trials and hardships in life can also turn into something beautiful.

When challenges come our way we can persevere with grace and grow to have a heart that’s strengthened. The key is to rely on God for these abilities. He will use them to build our character, allowing us to reflect him.

On our own we are not capable but depending on Him for the patience and self discipline to endure transforms the hard into something beautiful!

You can do the hard for the good, in fact you are made for it!

Trust that He will give you what you need when you need it to make something beautiful.
