Back to school is almost like New Years in that it's a fresh start and opportunity to begin this new season with goals, perspectives and priorities.

After pressing pause on so much to have fun with my family this Summer, I'm ready to embrace additions to my schedule! But before I jump in, I want to do so wisely and with caution as to not overwhelm.
Because ... there's a mile long list of things I want to do!
Here's my guide to setting my goals this semester:
Commitments - first I list out my/my families commitments. These are the nonnegotiables like my job, chores and activities we've signed up for. This allows for me to see how much room I have to add more.
Goals - I separate into 5 categories and examine where I want to grow, serve and focus my time in a realistic manner. It's important to leave plenty of room (the unexpected will happen & being overextended is no fun!)
Spiritual - Growing in knowledge and faith
Physical - nourishing and caring for our bodies
Personal - This could be anything- a hobby, work, serving, projects etc..
Financial - stewarding your gifts wisely
Social - Community is essential
Tip: schedule time on your calendar and protect it - otherwise it will get pushed to the side or interrupted by other things!
This looks difference for everyone but I hope that these categories encourage you to set the framework for a beautiful year.
