Unmentionables

What we wear underneath our outfits is just as important as the outfits themselves. They determine how our clothing will fit and look on our bodies. Undergarments need to support, provide comfort and be invisible!

We are all different shapes and sizes so it's very personalized to find pieces that fit just right. I'm going to share what works for me and hopefully some helpful advice.

BRAS

I am a size 32D/DD and having been wearing sheer cup bras for over a decade. I strive to minimize my chest and find that brands Chantelle & Wacoal fit nicely. I purchase most at Nordstrom Rack for great prices.

Most are in a nude color with a few being black for under dark clothing.

I do recommend a racerback design particularly for the summer to conceal under cut-in tops.

Strapless is just hard. There's no way around it but I like this one and the covers I'm sharing below.

Note: I have several bras and rotate daily to preserve their shape & condition. I wash on the delicate cycle and lay flat to dry.

COVERS

These covers are new to me and will be essential this Summer under open sundresses and swimsuits. Yes! these Cake Body covers work in swimsuits and in your bras, wherever you need extra cover and lift. They are NOT sticky, reusable and easy to clean. You don't feel them and they are a superpower to support and control all on their own.  I have both the circle and triangle.

PANTIES

I've been wearing these lace Thongs for over 15 years! They are very comfortable and invisible. I purchase these in sets on sale throughout the year.

Note: I hang/line dry these!

I also wear these & these to sleep in and under loose dresses/skirts.

COOLING SHORTS

I discovered these cooling shorts last summer and they are life changing! They do NOT compress but simply act as a barely there layer that provides comfort and smoothing under dresses & skirts. I still wear slips that belonged to my Mama but here is a current option.

Undergarments can be pricey, challenging to fit and often a neglected part of our wardrobe despite their significance. I encourage you to give what you wear underneath proper attention for your posture, appearance and confidence!
