Color Analysis

Last week as an early birthday gift i had a color analysis done by House of Colour.

As someone who dresses colorfully & enjoys styling I was skeptical. I didn't want to feel limited with my wardrobe.

I also professed within the first 5 minutes to my stylist that I did NOT want to be an Autumn because those colors are dull and drab and I'm NOT that!

Well, I'm an Autumn!

And I'm not mad about it.

it was indisputable that the colors in the Autumn season were the most harmonious with my skin tone.

Warm, Rich, Earthy and vibrant hues are the most flattering. And now that I know, I do believe I will keep that in mind when dressing.

Turns out my wardrobe already has a significant amount!

I do lean a little towards Spring - they're both warm.

I personally find that the knowledge of my season/colors is empowering. These shades complement ME and the unique coloring I was born with. I believe that when I do wear these shades that I am more pronounced rather than my outfit.

I will continue to wear colors I find beautiful. even if they aren't in my season like icy pastels (they're a favorite!).

I truly enjoyed the process and highly recommend it. We started by establishing I was warm toned and then through comparisons determined my season. We rated colors within my season, talked about make up and accessories. I came home with a fan deck of my colors to help when shopping and putting together outfits.

While real beauty lies within us, showcasing the outside is wonderful too!
